Safely and easily tag your old memories for quick scanning
You’ve made a great decision to have your media digitized. And in doing so, you probably have some questions. Good news is, we have answers!
One of the most frequently asked questions we receive is how to barcode your old memory items. After all, you want to make sure everything you send us is safe and accounted for, so let’s do a quick walkthrough of the painless process.
Before you load up your box
Every KODAK Digitizing order comes complete with a crush-proof, prepaid box and shipping label. But before you begin tossing in all those VHS tapes, film reels and mixtapes, you’ll need to barcode your old media items.
That’s why we include a printed barcode sheet to ensure your analog media is properly and safely tracked throughout the entire conversion process. Depending on what size box you order, you’ll receive either 2, 10, 20 or 40 prepaid barcodes. We’ll even send you extra barcodes in case you’d like to add items to your order. And to ensure your memories receive the utmost attention, each barcode will be scanned up to a dozen times, so you’re never in the dark about where your item is in the digitization process.
Barcoding your items
We’re in the business of preserving your memories, not tarnishing them. That’s why each preprinted barcode can be safely applied to each item you want to convert. No need to worry about a tricky to peel off sticker or manually taping it yourself. As long as each barcode is firmly adhered and easily visible, your job is complete.
And there you have it! All that’s left is to load it up your box and send it in. We’ll take care of the rest, so you can get back to reliving your best!
