Why now
The box in the closet is the whole archive.
The projector is gone, and every slide is a one-of-one original with no backup. Kodachrome film, the labs that processed it, and the supply chain behind it have all closed. Digitizing makes the pictures viewable again while the originals remain yours.

How it works

Apply one included item barcode to each bag or envelope—not to an individual slide.
Use prepaid UPS
Pack the bundles in the KODAK Digitizing Box and use the included prepaid return label.
Get files and originals
Receive high-quality JPEG files and every original slide back, with updates throughout the process.
